【摘要】:SomechemicalconstituentsofAWDarenotstableandmustbepreservedbeforechemicalanalysis.Withoutsamplepreservation,itispossiblethatanalytescanbelostthroughdecompositionorsorptiontothestoragebottles.ContaminationofAWDsamplescanoccurduringbothsamplepreservationandsamplestorage.ProperselectionandcleaningofsamplingcontainersarerequiredtoreducethepossibilityofcontaminationofAWDsamples.Thenaturalspongeandtalc-freeplasticglovesusedinthefollowingproceduresshouldberecognizedaspotentialsourcesofcontamination.Individualexperienceshouldbeusedtoselectproductsthatminimizecontamination.1.1Thisguidepresentsrecommendationsforthecleaningofplasticorglassmaterialsusedforcollectionofatmosphericwetdeposition(AWD).Thisguidealsopresentsrecommendationsforthepreservationofsamplescollectedforchemicalanalysis.1.2ThematerialsusedtocollectAWDfortheanalysisofitsinorganicconstituentsandtraceelementsshouldbeplastic.Highdensitypolyethylene(HDPE)ismostwidelyusedandisacceptableformostsamplesincludingsamplesforthedeterminationoftheanionsofacetic,citric,andformicacids.Borosilicateglassisacollectionalternativeforthedeterminationoftheanionsfromacetic,citric,andformicacid;itisrecommendedforsamplesforthedeterminationofotherorganiccompounds.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
