【摘要】:Thistestmethodfortestingyarn-to-yarnfrictionisbeingused,butisnotrecommended,foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentssincebetween-laboratoryprecisionisknowntobepoor.5.1.1Insomecases,thepurchaserandsuppliermayhavetotestacommercialshipmentofoneormorespecificmaterialsbythebestavailablemethodeventhoughthemethodhasnotbeenrecommendedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments.IncaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingTestMethodD3412foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudentrsquo;t-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultswithconsiderationtotheknownbias.Thistestmethodisintendedforthedeterminationofyarn-to-yarnboundaryfrictioncoefficientsmeasuredoveraspecifiedlengthofyarn.Thetestmethodisusefulforqualitycontrol,research,andthecharacterizationofyarnboundarylubricants.Note38212;Becausethegeometryoftheyarnsisdifferent,Options1and2shouldnotbeexpectedtogivethesamenumericalvaluesonthesameyarns.FIG.1TwistedStrandYarn-to-YarnFrictionApparatusx2014;Twisted-YarnMethod1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementoffrictionalpropertiesforbothcontinuousfilamentandspun-stapleyarnsunderboundaryfrictionconditions.1.2Thistestmethodhasbeenusedwithyarnshavinglineardensitiesrangingfrom1.5to200tex,butmaybeusedwithyarnsoutsidetheseranges(15to1800denier).Note1Forcoefficientoffriction,yarntometal,seeTestMethodD3108.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
