【摘要】:ThispartofEN13523describestheprocedurefordeterminingtheresistancetocrackingofanorganiccoatingonametallicsubstratewhenbentthrough135°to180°.Thedegreeofadhesionmayalsobeevaluated.Bothfoldingandmandrelmethodsareconsidered.Thefoldingmethodismoreoftenusedforpracticalpurposesbutwheremoreprecisedeterminationsarerequired,themandrelmethodisrecommended.Thecylindricalbendmethodcanalsobeusedforapass/faildecisionbyusinganagreedmandrel.Thechoiceoftheappropriatetestmethodislimitedbythethicknessand/orthehardnessofthesubstrate.NOTE:Thefeasibilityofthetestdependsonthetypeandthicknessofthesubstrate.Duringtheprocedurethemandrelshouldnotdeform.
