【摘要】:Thisfire-test-responsestandarddeterminesfirepropertiesrelatedtopilotedignitionofaverticallyorientedspecimenexposedtoanexternalgraduatedradiantheatfluxasshownin.Thistestmethodprovidesdatasuitableforcomparingtheperformanceofmaterials,whichareusedastheexposedsurfacesofwallsorotherverticallyorientatedproductsinconstructionapplications.Note1ThistestmethodhasbeenpreparedtocloselyfollowthetestprocedureofISO5658-4,howeverwithadditionalprovisionsforheatreleaseandsmokedevelopmentmeasurementsthatareoptional.Thefirecharacteristicsdeterminedbythistestmethodincludetime-to-ignition,verticalflamespreadrateandlateralflamespreadrate.Optionalmeasurementsincludeheatreleaseratesandvisiblesmokedevelopmentrates.Theoptionalheatreleaserateisdeterminedbytheprincipleofoxygenconsumptioncalorimetry,viameasurementoftheoxygenconsumptionasdeterminedbytheoxygenconcentrationandflowrateintheexhaustproductstream(exhaustduct).ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Firetestingofproductsandmaterialsisinherentlyhazardous,andadequatesafeguardsforpersonnelandpropertyshallbeemployedinconductingthesetests.Thistestmethodmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.SpecificinformationabouthazardisgiveninSection.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
