【摘要】:ManymaterialsusedintheproductionofgoodscanhaveanadverseaffectontheperformanceofanRFIDsystem.ThistestmethodqualifiestheperformanceofanRFIDsystemappliedtoaloadedcontainerrelativetotheperformanceofthesameRFIDsystemappliedtoanemptycase.ComparisonofthesetwoelementsofthistestmethodwillidentifythecompatibilityoftheRFIDsystemsandtheproductbeingtested.ThistestmethodisintendedforsystemsusedexclusivelywithintheUnitedStates.AdditionalteststandardsfromISOorotherstandardsbodiesmayapplytointernationallyhandledgoodsandmayincludeadditionaltestscenariosnotoutlinedinthistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthereadabilityofradiofrequencyidentification(RFID)transpondersplacedonloadedcontainersthataremanuallyhandledormechanicallyhandledbymaterialhandlingequipmentsuchasforktrucks,palletjacks,andautomatedguidedvehiclesystems.Theresultsofthesetestsareintendedtobeusedforqualitativepurposes.1.2TestresultssolelyreflecttheperformanceofthespecifiedRFIDsystemandthespecifiedloadedcontainer.ResultsarenotintendedforperformanceanalysisoftheRFIDsystem,inpartorinwhole.1.3Thistestmethodisintendedforuseinlaboratorysettingsthatsimulate,ascloselyasispracticable,thedistributionenvironmentoftheproductbeingtested.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
